• This Cubic shape gives good volume ratio in circuit. It is also available for high PCB packing densites. Normally PL-7 and ST-30B are selected because of their low THD characteristics.

• Recently, power application is adopting this shape. Because of it's half-moon  shpae, shielding leakage inductance and noise are very easy.

• They are used for transformer, and xDSL usage mainly.
